Stacey Keogh.

Stacey Keogh, an acrylic artist, grew up in rural Esperance and the goldfields of Western Australia. After her education at St Hilda’s Anglican Girls School in Mosman Park, Perth, she settled in the city. Her childhood was rich and colorful, filled with adventure, travel, and a variety of life experiences.

From a young age, Stacey was drawing and painting at the kitchen table, enjoying an exceptional art education during her high school years. Although she was encouraged to pursue visual arts, it wasn't until the pandemic that she transitioned from being a chef to a full-time artist.

Stacey works solely with acrylic paint on canvas, utilizing its quick-drying properties and the ability to create both bold, opaque layers and delicate, watercolor-like effects.

Her artwork focuses on the unique flora, fauna, and abstract landscapes of Western Australia, aiming to showcase the diversity and charming character of local birds like seagulls, magpies, cockatoos, and kookaburras, which are a common presence in Perth.

Stacey's passion for WA's native plants was fostered by her hands-on experience and training in the floral industry in 2018.

She began a double degree in Fine Art and Education but paused it to raise her daughter. Meanwhile, she taught art workshops and tutored high school students part-time within the homeschool community. Stacey is passionate about teaching and plans to offer workshops for adults of all skill levels in the near future.
